The speaking Language Master Special Edition is designed to assist the blind or visually impaired. Full speech capability and keyboard echo enable a student to access all aspects of an electronic dictionary. The Merriam-Webster dictionary contains 300,000 definitions and a treasurus with 500,000 synonyms and antonyms. Phonetic spell correction allows students to enter words as they sound. Features include a large 1 3/4"x 4 3/4" display with adjustable type sizes, adjustable voice speed, 10 educational games, an easy-to understand grammar guide and a user word list.

• The Speaking Language Master can also be used as an augmentative speech device with its ability to save up to 26 stored messages. A student can save messages (such as "I would like to answer the question") and have the device read the messages aloud.

Full audio feedback capability: In addition to saying words and definitions out loud, unit can be setup to rea out loud all messages & text that appears on the screen.

Special Keys & Functions
       Spell: Will pronounce individual letters of a word
       Play: Brings up game menu. Games have audible feedback
       Where: Will tell user what screen/function they are at
       Fast & Slow: Will speedup or slowdown voice output
       ID: Toggle on/off, when on says out loud what the key does.
       MSG: Message key that allows up to 26 messages to be stored
       Read & Say: Will ask if you want to keep unknown letter combinations as entered and will attempt to      pronounce.
       DICT, THES,CLASS & Conf: are separate keys: On the LM-6000b functions are accessed via top of screen display and arrows.
       Add: Saves words and messages.
       REM: Removes words or messages
       REV & EWD: Goes to the next or previous word in dictionary
